    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Dow AgroSciences Discovery R&D is looking for an experienced bioinformatician to work within the Information Technology and Management group. The successful candidate will interact closely with bench scientists as well as with other bioinformatics personnel in the design of experiments to answer relevant biological questions, to develop analytical strategies, to interpret the data generated and to define research approaches. The individual will also deliver analysis results to the teams in usable formats. The individual will contribute to bioinformatics process and database optimization and standardization, and work to define tool requirements.

    The successful candidate will provide leadership in key areas such as database development/integration, NextGen sequencing, network analysis, transcriptomics and proteomics. They will work with and lead project teams to help them define their bioinformatics needs and then deliver on those needs. The candidate is expected to drive strategic growth within Dow AgroSciences R&D through the use of bioinformatics analysis to create novel agricultural biotech products.
