BACKGROUND
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and is home to approximately 500 faculty of the College. It is one of the nation's largest, research intensive, Children's hospitals. CCHMC is an international leader in improving child health and ranks among the top three pediatric medical centers nationally in the amount of money received from NIH in support of research.RESPONSIBILITIES
The Faculty Position: The Divisions of Biomedical Informatics and Experimental Hematology/Cancer Biology are recruiting a faculty member with scholarly activity focused on the development and evaluation of large data sets leveraging new methodologies and for acquiring, representing, processing, and managing knowledge and data related to the biomedical sciences. Candidates with expertise in disease processes and genomics, especially as they relate to cancer or neurobiology are preferred. Faculty are expected to develop both independent and collaborative, externally funded, research programs. Substantial funds are available to start-up or transition a newly recruited faculty member's research.REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with formal training in informatics and biomedical sciences.
