BACKGROUND
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, home of three Nobel laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research to eliminate cancer and other potentially fatal diseases. Recognized internationally for its pioneering work in bone-marrow transplantation, the Center’s five scientific divisions collaborate to form a unique environment for conducting basic and applied science. Join us and make a difference!RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a recent Ph.D., post-doc, or senior scientist for a project focused on a systems biology approach to understand mechanisms whereby Notch signaling determines stem cell fate. The project will be co-mentored by Drs. Irwin Bernstein and Hamid Bolouri and has extensive NIH support. The candidate will preferably have several years of experience and proficiency with R and Bioconductor scripts and strong interests in systems biology and genomics. The project will involve analysis of TF and histone-modification ChIP-seq, genome-wide DNA methylation assays, and global gene expression profiling and experience in these areas would be especially welcome.REQUIREMENTS
- PhD in relevant field is required and experience with R and Bioconductor is preferred.
TERMS
Full-time position. This position is funded for minimum of one year, with the possibility of more.
