BACKGROUND
SRA conducts, coordinates, and analyzes clinical and experimental studies to inform health research. This practice area addresses preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic issues in a public health context, including research in cancer, asthma, allergies, diabetes, infectious diseases, genomics, nutrition, reproductive health, and environmental health.
Our expertise spans analytical, epidemiological, toxicological, medical, social, and behavioral sciences. Our experience conducting NIH- and CDC-sponsored studies combines with our industry-sponsored CRO services to form a comprehensive infrastructure for conducting studies on any scale. Our methodological expertise is also designed to support investigators in their research study design through publication of articles for leading scientific journals.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bioinformatics team leadership.
- Client consultation on design and implementation of bioinformatics systems, analyses and tools.
- Next generation sequence analysis with comparative sequence analysis of viral and bacterial genomes.
- Sharing of new bioinformatics conclusions with the scientific community through publications and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Years of experience (min): 1-2
- Degree: Masters. Required degree may be waived in lieu of relevant years of work experience
- Skills: Team leadership of Bioinformatics analytic and development team
- Bioinformatics or associated degree, Next Generation Sequence Analysis
- Programming in Perl, Python, R, C, C++ or related
