Job Title: Senior Biostatistician
Our Client is seeking a creative and independent thinking, experienced senior biostatistician to work on clinical studies in a team oriented biotech environment. They currently have ongoing programs in Obesity, Rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, asthma and possible other indications. All compounds in clinical testing are our client?s proprietary proteins with specific mechanisms of action in each of the conditions studied.
The candidate will direct a statistical group of 3 to 4 persons. Primary interaction is with the clinical group but also will interface with senior management, pre-clinical and basic science groups within the company, and consult with experts in academia.
The professional we seek must possess a Ph.D. and have at least 8 to 10 years of industry experience in design and analysis of clinical trials Phase I through III. Particularly, the candidate must be able to plan and carry out analyses of complex late stage registration trials. Solid experience in interacting with the FDA is required. Past experience with therapeutic proteins is a strong plus. Candidates with professional experience in the mentioned therapeutic areas will be preferred.
Responsibilities
· Support clinical department in design of clinical trials with novel proteins in different indications.
· Plan and carry out analysis of early and late stage clinical trials
· Supervision of a group of 3 to 4 people (one statistician, one to two programmers)
· Interact with senior management, pre-clinical and basic science groups within the company
· Represent the company in discussions with FDA
· Interact and consult with experts in academia
Professional Experience
· PhD with 5 to 10 years of strong professional experience in a similar position in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
· Be familiar with all routine methods of data analysis used in the industry
· Be familiar with regulatory guidelines in the US
· Have experience in IND/BLA submissions
Expectations
· The successful candidate will be an individual with a focused, goal-oriented work style who delivers results in a timely fashion. The candidate needs to be a hands-on person with good presentation skills. He/she also has to be able to communicate effectively with non-statisticians.
