    BACKGROUND

    Our Client, The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. Helping to lead the way towards important medical discoveries that improve people's health and save lives, NIH scientists investigate ways to prevent disease as well as the causes, treatments, and even cures for common and rare diseases. Composed of 27 Institutes and Centers, the NIH provides leadership and financial support to researchers in every state and throughout the world.

    TAJ is supporting NIH fill their positions for over 10 years and has close to 90 full time employees onsite.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Role: Scientific Programmer/Senior Platform Developer

    Software systems design and development; performing data/process modeling; performing object oriented analysis; design and development and maintenance/support of database backends (server-side) components; and using C/C++, stl, ptthreads, sockets, rt and XML.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have Master's in computer science or scientific field (physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, etc.)
    • 3 years experience, including experience in C, C++, background in algorithm development and implementation and/or programming support of scientific research
