    BACKGROUND

    Sapio Sciences, a leading Data Management, LIMS and ELN software company headquartered in Baltimore, MD is seeking a highly skilled professional for its professional services group. Sapio is experiencing tremendous growth due to its leading Exemplar LIMS product. Our growth is creating major opportunities to expand our business in new directions, hence this present opportunity.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    You will be involved in all aspects of consulting engagements and tasked with growing this segment of Sapio's business. This will involve direct interactions with our customers where you will oversee the design and implementation of their specific needs. You will also be integral to design and development of new features in our leading Exemplar LIMS product line, particularly as we further extend the technology into the informatics domain through integrated analytics for technologies such as next-gen sequencing.

    REQUIREMENTS

    A diverse set of skills is mandatory for this position, inlcuding all of the following:
    • Background in statistics, particulary in the area of expression and sequence data analysis
    • Strong programming skills in the Java programming language
    • Excellent english language communication skills as client interaction will be an important aspect of this position
    • Comfort with designing software requirements through design sessions with Sapio customers
    • Bonus skills include experience with Sequencing Data Management, and Java Swing or web based user interface development skills
    • Although we try to limit travel as much as possible, this position will occassionally require some travel

    TERMS

    This is a full time position with Sapio Sciences, Llc. Some telecommuting is possible after a period of proven performance with the company. Most employees telecommute two days a week, but note that this is at the discretion of management.

    LOCALE

    This position reports to our development office in York, PA. York is centrally located and is commutable from all points in Maryland as well as central and eastern PA. For the right candidate, some relocation assistance may be offered.

    COMPENSATION

    A six figure+ salary plus medical benefits for highly a qualified candidate.
