    BACKGROUND

    The Mount Sinai School of Medicine is internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education, and scientific research.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Applications are invited for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pharmacology and Systems Therapeutics and the Systems Biology Center-New York. We are seeking individuals who use computational approaches to study the genomic basis of complex diseases such as autism, depression, metastatic cancers and kidney diseases. We are particularly interested in individuals who use systems and network approaches to identify biomarkers sets for disease susceptibility and progression, as well as new drug targets from genome-wide studies. The position is part of an ongoing and expanding effort to grow the systems biology and genomic research at Mount Sinai. The selected faculty will have primary appointments in the Department and will be members of the appropriate Institute such as the Friedman Brain Institute, Tisch Cancer Institute, Genomics Institute, or the Experimental Therapeutics Institute.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Qualified candidates will possess a doctoral degree [Ph.D., M.D.], postdoctoral training and a record of accomplishments consistent with the designated rank and areas of interest
