    BACKGROUND

    Synamatix Sdn Bhd primary focus is on the research and development of customised bioinformatics software and pipelines. These software and pipelines have been used extensively by world-renowned establishments throughout the world for a variety of genomics projects.

    We are looking for highly motivated and intelligent Chief Technlogy Officer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Establish overall direction and strategy for the development of new products and services for DNA sequencing related bioinformatics.
    • Manage and lead software development and genomics service projects to ensure high-quality results and findings are delivered to customers.
    • Work closely with the product research and development teams to incorporate the latest industry and scientific trends and developments into services and products of the company.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, IT or related field with at least 5 years' working experience in the bioinformatics software industry
    • Previous experience of leading and managing computational biology product development teams
    • Excellent grasp of commonly used software programming languages and methods for the development of software and associated algorithms
    • Experience in DNA sequencing-based informatics is essential.

    LOCALE

    The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, but may require frequent international travel.

    COMPENSATION

    A highly competitive and attractive remuneration package in line with expertise and experience will be offered.
