BACKGROUND
The newly founded MPI for Biology of Ageing (MPI-AGE) offers a vibrant research atmosphere. It currently has about 100 full-time researchers dedicated to understanding the fundamental molecular mechanisms of ageing, using model organisms such as the fruit fly (Partridge lab), worm (Antebi lab), and mouse (Larsson lab and Wickström lab).RESPONSIBILITIES

- Relevant Work Experience: Biology, Bioinformatics
- Education Level: Master Degree or PhD
- The MPI-AGE seeks a social, intelligent, organized, friendly and energetic person who will work within the Bioinformatics team (Habermann lab).
- You are a person who has a sound understanding and quick comprehension of biological problems and a strong interest in combining your bioinformatics skills with top-level basic research in molecular biology.
- Experience in applied Bioinformatics ideally includes:
- * Next Generation Sequence Analysis
- * Microarray Analysis
- * Genome analysis & Gene Prediction
- * Sequence Analysis and Functional Prediction of Proteins
- * Phylogenetic Analysis
- * Structural Biology and Analysis
- * Programming experience (Python or Perl)
