    BACKGROUND

    The Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry (LSMS) group at University of Geneva (Switzerland) has an open position for 1 year starting July 2011 or earlier.

    The group focuses on the development of novel QUAL/QUAN analytical approaches based on LC-MS(/MS). The group is equipped with state of the art MS and LC equipment.

    The project is a close collaboration between LSMS and the data processing group of Dr. Ron Bonner (AB Sciex in Toronto, Canada).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The candidate will be involved, in collaboration with group members, in the development of novel data acquisition and mining strategies based on fast separations and high resolution mass spectrometry for the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of xenobiotic and endogenous metabolites.

    Funding: SystemsX Bridge 2 Industry Pilot project

    REQUIREMENTS

    • The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Sciences or equivalent.
    • A strong background in programming
    • Should be able to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
