    REQUIREMENTS

    • Diploma, master degree or PHD in bioinformatics, computer science or related fields
    • Basic knowledge of molecular genetics
    • Solid background in applying sequence based bioinformatic tools
    • Broad spectrum of techniques of computer science
    • Skills in one or more programming languages

    PREFERENCES

    • Knowledge of available bioinformatic/clinical genomic tools and databases
    • Expertise in processing data in common bioinformatic data formats
    • Experience in handling large data sets
    • Experience with analysis, processing and assembling of next generation sequencing data for various applications like re-sequencing, ChIPSeq, transcriptomics, genotyping etc.
    In addition to the skill of autonomous working and the willingness to quickly learn new and challenging fields of work, we especially honour the ability to work in a team.

    This position is also suited for interested entrants who already have a founded knowledge in the respective fields.

    TERMS

    Start immediately. This is a fixed-term position until 31 May 2013 but an extension is possible
