    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The University of Rhode Island Bioinformatics Core Director seeks a capable post-doctoral researcher, who can also assist with administration of seminars, workshops, and consultations. The position will allow the opportunity to interact extensively with researchers at URI, Brown, RI undergraduate institutions, and with biological researchers throughout the northeast region.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A suitable candidate will have demonstrated expertise in various aspects of bioinformatics, including (but not limited to) genomics, sequence annotation, molecular modeling, and related technologies and data.

    PREFERENCES

    • Should also have expertise in at least one of the following areas of research: molecular biology, enzymology, bacterial or fungal genomics, natural product isolation and structure elucidation, OR computer science and information technology.

    COMPENSATION

    $42,000 + full benefits
