BACKGROUND
The Centre for Intelligent Systems Modelling at the University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, is interested in a Post-Doctoral Fellow intending to do research work in South Africa in this fast developing discipline of science.
The Centre for Intelligent Systems Modelling is located within the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Johannesburg. The research centre focuses on the modelling of complex systems using computational (artificial) intelligence techniques and modern optimization strategies. There is a wide range of modelling problems for use in decision support systems ranging from machine condition monitoring, militarized interstate conflicts, network intrusion detection systems, biomedical engineering and modelling of systems in molecular biology.TERMS
The fellowship is initially for one year, renewable to a maximum of three years.COMPENSATION
The fellowship includes a stipend of ZAR 180 000 (US$25 000) per year excluding relocations costs.HOW TO APPLY
