RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis effectiveness of clinical disease and care management programs and identify opportunities to improve outcomes and the value of BCBSFL's clinical programs
• Support member identification and stratification for the various clinical programs
• Perform analysis using integrated medical, behavior health and pharmacy data in order to identify ideas for new clinical programs and improved outcomes.
• Perform analysis to identify variances in treatment patterns by condition
• Communicate analytical results with key internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Assist in training and development of staff

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 or more years' experience in medical cost analysis or statistical analysis
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, general programming and/or statistical software
• Experience with analysis that involves problem solving beyond data mining/report generation
• Ability to communicate and present detailed business and financial information in a clear and concise way
• Ability to train team staff members

PREFERENCES

• Degree in Statistics and/or Bio Statistics, Health Science or equivalent area
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Experience with SAS or SQL or similar relational database management system
• Experience with detailed analysis and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in healthcare insurance or healthcare industry
• Prior experience with managing or training staff
