BACKGROUND

Our group focuses on the challenge of extracting structured insight from genome-scale experiments. Besides working with colleagues in the group, established and novel analysis tools will be applied to the study of host-parasite interactions (http://www.bioinf.boku.ac.at/biogen.php).

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for the development of novel integrated approaches
in the deep bioinformatics analysis of heterogeneous data sets, applying and adapting existing systems as well as developing novel components as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

We need an outstanding scientist excited about integrated approaches for the analysis of heterogeneous data.

You must have a PhD in a technical or scientific field and have experience in at least one of these three areas:
1) Classical or probabilistic analysis of DNA or protein sequences,
2) Integration of bioinformatics databases and analysis tools,
3) Analysis / interpretation of microarray data.

TERMS

The position is available immediately and has an initial tenure of three years.

COMPENSATION

We offer internationally competitive conditions and benefits. Gross salary >45k.
