    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The position will acquire data, perform statistical analysis, and develop data solutions in support of clinical operations, reporting and research activities of a major university medical center.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Communicate well with end users, developers, and database administrators working together in a dynamic data analytics/decision support environment. Knowledge of the Healthcare industry is preferred.
    • Create, collect, and present results of advanced data queries and analysis. Ability to document and communicate technical approach and results effectively is required.
    • Participate in peer reviews of specifications and code.
    • Support standards, guidelines, and methods through use of data definitions, diagrams and data modeling tools and techniques.
    Other responsibilities:
    • Partner to create End User Interfaces to allow users to better understand how to use the decision support solutions available.
    • Work with others to submit periodic reports of clinic operations and performance to funding agencies.
    • Participate as an active member of research teams that will design, build and maintain databases to meet needs of researchers in different disciplines.

    REQUIREMENTS

    This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 60 months relevant experience.

    PREFERENCES

    • Fundamental skills in data analysis and data modeling to include specifying and testing table structures.
    • Math modeling/statistical background a strong plus. Data analysis/programming skills would include competence in at least one math/statistical language such as Matlab, SAS, S-PLUS or R.
    • Experience with SOL and creating complex joins high desirable
    • Experience with Oracle 9i or 10g is a strong plus; ability to tune SOL and create stored procedures with PLISOL also a strong plus.
    • Experience with data warehouse structures (star and snowflake schemas), multidimensional "Cubes", Microsoft Analysis Services and MDX a plus.
    • Experience with programming languages and frameworks including Java, Struts, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSL T, VBA for Excel, etc. is a plus. Design and development experience
    Experience may be substituted for education : Basic qualification requirement on a 2:1 basis (2 years of experience for each year of education required, but not obtained)

    TERMS

    This is a full time position. Scheduled hours are from 8:00am until 5:00pm ; Monday through Friday

    COMPENSATION

    Salary ranges $64,459.20 (min) ; $90,615.20 (mid) ; $116,771.20 (max); annually. Salary is commensurate upon years of education and experience
