    The ASBMB Special Symposium Chemical, Synthetic and Systems Biology: New Directions of Biochemistry in the 21st Century will build on the success and lessons learned from the 2009 symposium Systems Biology for Biochemists. Each day of the symposium will be centered at a particular "biology" (i.e., chemical, synthetic, and systems). Both dry-lab and wet-lab experimentation will be covered in detail each day, with a mix of plenary talks presented by invited speakers in the morning followed by short talks programmed from volunteer abstracts.
