RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluating next generation sequencing quality, understanding sequencing systems and developing data analysis tools.
• Analyzing large amount of data, understanding and modeling next gen sequencing instrumentation effects, chemistry and molecular biology reactions.
• Developing algorithms for filtering, pattern classification, feature extraction and quantification.
• Work closely with system team to drive effective experimental design and system optimizations.
• Implementing a multi-tiered set of test cases for algorithm validation and regression tests.
• Responsible for the design and development of the algorithms, testing and implementation, as well as documentation and communication of the algorithms.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD. or MS. in physical science or engineering. Training in statistics, computational biology, signal processing, pattern classification and image analysis.
• Training in software design, OOP and design patterns. Programming Skills: 3+

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with English are required.
