Opportunity: Postdoctoral Position in Genomics and BIOINFORMATICS @ Purdue University--West Lafayette, IN (US)

BACKGROUND
A full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Plant Genomics/Bioinformatics is available in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University. We are part of Purdue University Agricultural Genomics Center equipped with state of art genomics and bioinformatics facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will focus on comparative genomics and transposon-mediated gene and genome evolution in plants and be expected to contribute to a variety of studies on plant structural, functional and evolutionary genomics in the lab.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have a PhD degree in genetics/genomics, bioinformatics/computational biology, or related disciplines.
PREFERENCES
Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and programming (e.g., PERL and R), and previous experience with large-scale sequencing and/or re-sequencing data analyses is highly desirable.
TERMS

COMPENSATION
