RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) at Michigan State University seeks an individual experienced in JAVA to develop new informatics technologies including but not limited to software technology, data storage technology, and translational science technologies, the combination of basic science research and patient-centered clinical applications. The position will include being lead developer and maintainer of a Java based open source clinical trials system, OpenClinica. The employee will independently work with stakeholders to generate and determine requirements, design the extensions, document the new functionality, and identify critical design decisions.REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of general experience developing complex computer systems
- 2 years of specific experience in building n-tier J2EE Web applications
- Significant hands-on working experience with JavaScript/AJAX HTML/HTML5/CSS/DOM /XML/XSLT
- Java and J2EE Technologies (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, etc.)
- Administration and optimization of Tomcat
- ORACLE, PostGRE, MS SQL experience
- Experience in continuous integration including automated testing
