SUMMARY

We are seeking candidates who can contribute to teaching and interdisciplinary research in statistics and/or informatics. One position balances statistics teaching with collaborative research opportunities. A second position provides reduced statistics teaching responsibilities with more emphasis on collaborative research with investigators in The College of the Environment and Life Sciences (CELS). There is potential for a third bioinformatics position with emphasis on collaborative research with URI NSF EPSCoR scientists, and NIH INBRE (College of Pharmacy – COP) scientists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct research, obtain external research funding, and participate in interdisciplinary research across colleges including A&S, CELS, COP, and Graduate School of Oceanography; contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses; advise graduate students.
