    RESPONSIBILITIES

    A Staff Bioinformatics Programmer is sought to support software development, data analysis, assembly, and annotation of next-generation sequencing data analysis and assembly.

    These will include all aspects of next-generation sequence analysis including data transfer and analysis pipelines, genome assemblies, and annotation. In addition to strong technical experience, candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment with strong project management, problem solving, verbal, and written communication skills. This position presents an outstanding opportunity for professional development in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Candidate should hold a MS (preferably PhD) in computer science, biology, or equivalent discipline with practical experience using Perl, Java and Unix database applications.

    PREFERENCES

    The preferred candidate would also be familiar with concepts of molecular biology and genomic sequence analysis.
