BACKGROUND
The Quantitative Biomedical Research Center is newly established in the Department of Clinical Sciences at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). It aims to foster collaborations involving quantitative methods and technologies in any aspect of biomedical research, particularly for understanding disease etiologies and developing treatment and prevention strategies. Currently, the center has four faculty members, several staff members, postdocs and student research assistants. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Faculty/Bioinformatician will work on one or more interesting topics, including: next generation sequencing analysis, RNA or micro RNA regulation, gene regulatory network, integrated analysis of multiple types of genomic data. At UTSW, there are many great opportunities to collaborate with outstanding biomedical investigators and work on exciting research projects. REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should be proficient in computer programming and analysis of genomic data sets, and have experience working with biological systems. Candidates with an advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or other related fields are preferred.
