We are seeking to appoint an energetic academic to a Level A position in the Hawkesbury Institute. The Career Development Fellowship is offered as a two-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of a two year extension (subject to satisfactory assessment). The position will focus on research related to analysis of next-generation sequence data arising from genomic and transcriptomic projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will work with a team of scientists in the Hawkesbury Institute as well as undertaking additional training if necessary in bioinformatics methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS

To apply for this position you must have recently completed a PhD qualification in bioinformatics or a related discipline; and are required to submit a research and scholarly activity plan.

TERMS

2 Year Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility of a 2 year extension

LOCALE

This position will be based on the Hawkesbury Campus at Richmond, New South Wales, Australia. This is a full time (35 hours per week) position.

COMPENSATION

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A Step 3-4 $91,289 AUD to $96,851 AUD p.a. (comprising Salary $77,140 AUD to $81,840 AUD p.a., 17% Superannuation, and Leave Loading)
