    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The ideal candidate will have strong bioinformatics skills and some level of practical (bench) skills in molecular biology and microbiology. The position entails participation in experimental studies to examine the physiological response of marine mixotrophic algae to various environmental cues. The candidate will work closely with team members and be responsible for generating and reporting quality assured transcriptomic data and also developing and troubleshooting genomic analytical protocols. Key activities of the candidate will be maintaining computational infrastructure (server maintenance and access), establishing bioinformatics routines for data management, and statistical analysis of high throughput data.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Master's degree in Bioinformatics/Computer science/Computer Engineering preferred, or equivalent bioinformatics work experience.
