St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Research Informatics Analyst I (Job Number 30677).RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Informatics Analyst I assesses the users' business needs, developing system specifications to address those needs, and communicating the specifications to the technical development teams. Designs and develops the research application using the interface provided by the Research Informatics (RI) development team and leads testing, implementation, or maintenance tasks. Maintains close and continuous contact with the research community to ensure requirements are fulfilled. Applies such critical skills as assessing user needs, as well as documenting and tracking system requirements throughout the project lifecycle. During implementation, creates and executes test scripts and leads the user acceptance process. Writes structured views and queries of the data to facilitate the extraction of data for quality assurance by several levels of users including publication efforts of the Biostatistics Department. The research database creation and maintenance is critical to the mission of St Jude.REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Heath Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field is required
- Two years experience in Medical Research, Basic Science, Quality Assurance, Information Technology or Data Analysis related field is required
- One additional year of experience in Lab Technology, Data Management, Business Analysis, Data Monitoring, Project Lead
- System Support or Development is also required
