    Opportunity: Postdoctoral fellow in the areas of BIOINFORMATICS and COMPUTATIONAL SYSTEMS BIOLOGY @ Wayne State University--Detroit, MI (US)

    SUMMARY

    A postdoctoral fellow in the areas of bioinformatics and computational systems biology is avaialbe in my Lab. I am especially interested in candidates with expertise in computational modeling (machine learning and data mining) with applications to biological networks, pathways, network pharmacology, or drug discovery. The initial appointment is for 12 months and renewable for two more years.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Prospective candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or related areas by the date of the appointment. Substantial experience programming in R, Matlab, Perl, Java or C++ is required.

    LOCALE

    The research group is within the Department of Computer Science at Wayne State University. The department has very strong collaboration with medical school.
