BACKGROUND
The Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) and the Center for HIV-AIDS Vaccine Immunology (CHAVI) has established a place of national and international leadership in the fight against major infectious diseases including the development of HIV, TB, and other vaccines. The DHVI and CHAVI have an immediate opening for a Bioinformatician.RESPONSIBILITIES
The Bioinformatician will provide bioinformatics analysis/consulting and applications support as well as develop and implement innovative computational approaches for the analysis of large datasets from specified technologies, collaborate and consult with researchers to analyze problems, recommend technology based solutions, and design computational strategies for a wide range of biological research. In addition, this position will create or modify web-based bioinformatics tools, public domain biological databases and software tools for sequence, domain, and structural analysis.REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field with a Master's degree or PhD preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Bioinformatics is required.HOW TO APPLY
