    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Aim: The position involves performing bioinformatics data analysis, data manipulation and formatting, and database management.

    Responsibilities:
    • Bioinformatics data analysis
    • Large-scale data manipulation
    • Uploading and extracting data from the database and monitoring and maintaining the database

    REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Experience in bioinformatics data analysis and manipulation of sequencing data
    • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
    • Good programming skills in Perl, R, FORTRAN or similar languages
    • Experience in HPC cluster management is desirable
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
    • Ability and interest in learning new skills and working productively in a team environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • M.S. in animal breeding/genetics/biostatistics/bioinformatics/computer sciences or related field

    COMPENSATION

    Gross annual salary $60-75k depending on qualifications
