BACKGROUND

The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Biology Technician in the department of Otolaryngology at WVU. This is a permanent, non-tenure track position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Incumbent will perform bioinformatic analyses. Responsibilities will include manipulation and analysis of large-scale genome data for a diverse client base from the university and other research organizations.

REQUIREMENTS

A Masters degree in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or related and two to four years' of laboratory research experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for requisites.

PREFERENCES

Experience with Linux operating system and manipulation and analysis of large-scale sequencing datasets. Experience with cluster computing.
