REQUIREMENTS
This is a fulltime, onsite position that requires frequent interactions with biological scientists and excellent communication skills.
The candidate should have a Master's or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related computational field and be fluent in bioinformatics programming languages such as Perl, Python, Java, R, and/or C++.PREFERENCES
We are seeking an individual with experience analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, especially Illumina-derived data, (genomic, metagenomic, metatranscriptomic, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq) to join our new bioinformatics core. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, motivated, self-directed, and have hands-on experience analyzing microbial community data, preferably human microbiome data. The candidate should have in-depth skills on using state-of-the-art bioinformatics software as well as in writing custom computing scripts for managing and analyzing NGS data.LOCALE
