RESPONSIBILITIES
This NIH-funded Postdoctoral position is available immediately to join the Computational Crystallography group at LBNL, where the focus is to develop methods to process the massive data sets now being produced at both synchrotron sources and X-ray free-electron lasers. We will target new algorithms for physics-based modeling of the diffraction data, and experiment with new computational hardware (GPUs). The end product will be new open-source software that will be pushed out to light sources worldwide in collaboration with numerous international partners.REQUIREMENTS
We seek Ph.D. candidates with extensive experience in computational and/or experimental crystallography as well as those from more general diffraction or bioimaging backgrounds. We particularly encourage strong mathematical intuition and a track record of bringing new ideas and tools to fruition.HOW TO APPLY
