    BACKGROUND

    We are working at the forefront of biotechnology and bioinformatics, at the interface with innovatory materials, computation, microstructures and pattern recognition. Our multidisciplinary team has devised the technologies which enable high throughput analysis with robust low-cost tools. Our approach is to combine novel biochip technologies with advanced signal processing tools.

    We are looking for someone to fit into a multidisciplinary team and support our Senior Analyst.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The role of the Software Engineer is to assist in the development of software for the deltaDOT systems.

    Responsible for the design and development of user interfaces for deltaDOT software. The engineer will be expected to work closely with other software engineers and end users to design and implement software for controlling experiments, data analysis and data management.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Computing, Science or Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS

    • Minimum of two years Visual C++ and MFC experience.
    • Ability to communicate at all levels and to work in a cross-disciplinary team.
    ADVENTAGEOUS (one or more of the following):
    • COM/ATL programming
    • Database design and maintenance
    • Knowledge of bioinformatics
    • Experience in a scientific environment
    • Quality control
    • Experience of full software development life-cycle
    COMPENSATION: Circa GBP 25,000
    LOCALE: West London
