    Cenix BioScience (http://www.cenix-bioscience.com) is a recognised leader in the area of RNA-mediated interference (RNAi). Based in Dresden, Germany, Cenix was founded in 1999 and has since completed 2 successful rounds of VC financing raising over ? 11 million.

    With an international staff of 28 Cenix has recently re-focused its business model on custom research service offerings to both industry and academic markets. In order to accelerate our bioinformatics capacity Cenix wishes to fill the following position:

    POSITION

    Bioinformatics Specialist

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate integration of our functional data with genomic sequence
    databases.
    • Design and implement systematic sequence analyses for cross-species
    homologies and functional motif searches.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B.Sc/M.Sc in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics.
    • Programming experience with BioPerl, "O-O"-Perl, SQL.
    • Familiarity with public databases such as NCBI, Gene Ontology.
    • Experience with statistical analysis is desired.
