Events: CfP: IEEE WCCI2008

The 2008 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI 2008) will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre during June 1-6, 2008.
PAPERS
Researchers are invited to contribute high-quality papers to WCCI 2008. All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the fields based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity.
SPECIAL SESSIONS
WCCI 2008 Program Committees solicit proposals for special sessions within the technical scopes of the three conferences. Special sessions, to be organized by internationally recognized experts, aim to bring together researchers in special focused topics. Cross-fertilization of the three research areas of computational intelligence with new emerging technologies is strongly encouraged. Papers submitted for special sessions are to be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for the contributed papers.
TUTORIALS & WORKSHOPS
WCCI 2008 will also feature pre-congress tutorials and post-congress workshops covering fundamental and advanced computational intelligence topics. A tutorial proposal should include title, outline, expected enrollment, and presenter biography.
COMPETITIONS
WCCI 2008 will host competitions to stimulate research in computational intelligence, promote fair evaluations, and attract students. The proposals should include descriptions of the problems addressed, motivations and expected impact on computational intelligence, data description, evaluation procedures and established baselines, schedules, anticipated number of participants, and a biography of the main team members.

The Second International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence (IWACI2009) aims to explore advanced techniques and approaches in the field of computational intelligence for innovative applications. The workshop will provide an opportunity for researchers to present and disseminate their latest on-going research work and a chance to share their research work with other internationally renowned researchers. A special issue of extended accepted papers will be published by the SCI-indexed journal, International Journal of Neural Systems.
Topic Areas
The workshop includes topics on neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation. However, the workshop will favor papers representing advanced theories and innovative applications. Papers will be selected based on originality, significance, technical quality, and clarity.
Call for Papers
Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper not exceeding 30 doublespaced manuscript pages to IWACI2009. All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the respective fields according to the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. Authors should submit their papers via the IWACI2009 online paper submission system by April 30, 2009.
