"[Terrence] Brown is working on a guide to cluster supercomputing. 'There is a lot of info out there but it needs to be centralized, summarized and rationalized,' he said. 'There are many sites out there and if you look, many have different information, which is good, but shows the need for some unification.' Brown's group has a multifaceted approach aimed at tying clustering efforts together. 'We are creating a new Linux distribution (and tools) that will allow anyone to easily create a general purpose supercomputer--a Vanilla Beowulf--without being a Linux programming expert,' Brown said."
