The Twelfth Annual Symposium on Combinatorial Pattern Matching will be held in Jerusalem, Israel, on July 1-4, 2001.
The conference will be followed by STOC 2001 in Crete, a mere swimming distance away.

why do we convert a given pattern into regular expression and then match the regular expression with the string ?
can you suggest me some material regarding regular expressions in bioinformatics.
