The Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in any facet of bioinformatics, from software development to innovative applications in genomics or proteomics. The successful applicant will join a vibrant bioinformatics research community at SFU and the rest of the greater Vancouver area. SFU is open source friendly and is ranked among the top comprehensive universities in Canada. Postdoctoral experience is required. Candidates will be expected to develop an externally funded research program and to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching activities, including participation in a CIHR-funded health bioinformatics graduate training program. The Department has research strengths in structural and pathogen bioinformatics; functional genomics; molecular and developmental genetics; cell signaling; and macromolecular structure, function, and interactions. Under exceptional circumstances appointment at the Associate Professor level will be considered. Applicants may be considered for a Canada Research Chair Tier 2.HOW TO APPLY
