Chemist to handle a wide range of activities on their second shift. This is an employee-oriented, non-union company with a "no layoff" philosophy. When business is slow, they go to four day weeks. Business conditions are improving here, and there is no company debt. They boast of many professional long term employees. You will be running plenty of wet chemistry and analytical tests on hundreds of inorganic products on second shift. The instrumentation used includes HPLC, AA, GC, IR, and there is extensive work with computer spreadsheets. The work will include reproducibility and repeatability studies, and the atmosphere is supposed to be fun, with plenty of bantering. The salary range is dependent upon industry experience. The person being replaced made a $34,000 base with a $5,200 shift differential, making an annual salary of $39,200.
