Q.C. Chemist-(2nd Shift)- Fairfield County, CT- ENTRY LEVEL CANDIDATES HERE ARE FINE. A rock-solid, financially-secure, privately-held manufacturer seeks a Q.C. Chemist to handle a wide range of activities on their second
shift. This is an employee-oriented, non-union company with a "no layoff" philosophy. When business is slow, they go to four day weeks. Business conditions are improving here, and there is no company debt. They boast of many professional long term employees. You will be running plenty of wet chemistry and analytical tests on hundreds of inorganic products on second
shift. The instrumentation used includes HPLC, AA, GC, IR, and there is extensive work with computer spreadsheets. The work will include
reproducibility and repeatability studies, and the atmosphere is supposed to be fun, with plenty of bantering. The salary range is dependent upon
industry experience. The person being replaced made a $34,000 base with a $5,200 shift differential, making an annual salary of $39,200. We will send
qualified recruits to the $50,000 area with some industrial experience. In
addition, this company underwrites 100% of the family medical expenses,
offers a company paid pension, and gives bonuses for above average
performance. The requirements for this position include a BS in Science
(Chemistry is perfect), some exposure to wet chemistry, i.e. titration, and
at least academic background in GC, AA, and HLPC. Any prior work background
in a ISO 9001 shop is strongly preferred.

drug trials, work with CROs, develop program guidelines, budgets, payment
schedules, monitoring plans, check adherence to protocols, visit sites,
train staff, & more. Requires a BA/or MS in Bioscience with 3 or more years
experience running clinical trials with a pharmaceutical or biotech house.
Salary ranges from $60K to $75K, plus 10% bonus. Decent benefits include

2. ANALYTICAL CHEMIST or BIOCHEMIST- New Haven County- This biotech is
doubling its size in the next year, gearing up for drug production. They

protein characterization, bioanalytical development, proteomics, & drug
formulation using HPLC, SDS-PAGE, 2D electrophoresis, CD, & fluorescence
spectroscopy on proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates, peptides,
glycosylations, & post transnational modifications. Requires BS in Chem or
Biochem & 1+ years exp. doing protein characterization & assay development
using HPLC & SDS-PAGE. Some Mass spec is preferred. $40- $50K + 10% bonus.

3. I.T. BUSINESS PROCESS LEADER- New Haven County, CT. This biotech is

Reporting to a V.P, this person will put together a conceptual plan for all
IT services, software, and platforms for all depts. for the next five years.
Starting with a plan for electronic validation submissions to the FDA, this
person will also build the conceptual framework for HR, Accounting, Finance,
Marketing, Commercial, and more. Requires some supervisory/Project
Management exp. in IT with a biotech or pharmaceutical house, BS degree or
better, and solid exp. with FDA automated submissions. $100- 120K, + bonus,
+ fine benefit package, including relocation.
4. ORGANIC CHEMISTS (2)- New Haven County, CT ONE OF THESE OPENINGS IS FOR
AN ENTRY LEVEL Phd or POSTDOC! This startup biotech outfit has an
untraditional, relaxed atmosphere, accessible, visionary management, the
latest development tools, and millions in the bank for drug discovery.
This new drug discovery group which has grown by a factor of seven in the
past year. You will focus on core templates for drug discovery, and improve
the properties of drug targets. Jr. Position requires PhD in Organic
Chemistry & interest in drug discovery with a salary of $60- $70K. Staff
position requires PhD with 2+ yrs. in drug discovery experience with a
biotech or pharmaceutical house with a salary of $85K-$95K. Both positions
include stock options & three weeks vacation the first year.

11. MEDICAL DIRECTORS, Cardiology & Nephrology- New Haven County, CT- This
biotechnology company has a strong capital base (ten years of funding) in
developing novel therapeutics for treatment of a wide range of diseases. The
last two years this company has seen a 200% growth in size, and they will
double again this year. These medical directors will design, implement,
monitor, & manage all phase of the clinical development process on nine new
programs, ranging from phase one to phase three. These require an MD or
Ph.D. Degree, board certification in Cardiology or Nephrology, & 2 or more

coming in at the ground level for the scale-up effort and would be setting

developing mammalian cell culture expression processes, coupled with a Ph.D.
