    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    3-5 years experience leading a product development team, and/or a Ph.D. in computer or biological sciences, or sufficient in-house track record. Must have a bioinformatics background and be a leader in their field, must be able to define and implement the processes, analyses and software to support and improve CuraGen's drug pipeline, and must be able to supervise a group of 2-4 biologists and computer application developers.

    PREFERENCES

    Experience with Java, Perl and Oracle on a Unix platform preferred, as well as some background in the biological sciences

Job Details: LOCATION: Cambridge, MA DURATION: 1+ years extendable Job description: Job Title: Project Lead IS Site Coordination(Pharma / Regulatory) Duties: * Manage an approved and funded program of a work in support of a new scientific effort in chemogenomics, to assure smooth implementation and progression of CGC business goals and objectives * Coordinate and align all internal IS-related activities for functions and associates working on IS-related activities at the CGC (including operations, development, maintenance of infrastructure, licensing, project initiation and progression, implementation, etc.) * Single point of contact for remote and local functions and roles with respect to delivery of information systems solutions and associated computing infrastructure to the CGC * Primary interface on behalf of the CGC for communication between local and remote groups on IS-related issues 7 Follow policies and procedures as they relate to the site, in accordance with company requirements Skills: * Adaptable, professional, and enthusiastic to work with research scientists * Project management using iterative methods and prototyping * Comfortable in learning and adopting new technology * Knowledge of laboratory instruments and software needed for those instruments * Must be able to troubleshoot issues with minimal supervision * Strong written and verbal communication skills 7 Attention to detail and quality * Fluency in English, written and spoken Education: * Advanced degree (MS-equivalent or higher) in chemical, biological, or physical sciences, or in computer science, applied mathematics (statistics), or information technology (demonstrable expertise/working experience in these areas will be considered as a substitute for this requirement). * Expected to have 5-7 years working in a pharmaceutical / research environment * Experience managing software design, implementation, deployment, and support teams * Working knowledge of biological and/or chemical information management systems * Has a willingness to work with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in a high-pressure, complex environment Pls send resumes ASAP, for an immediate interview.
