Bioinformatics.org has reached another milestone. On Saturday night, August 25, Andrew Malcolm became the 1,000th member!**

This is much sooner than expected. For much of 2000 and 2001, membership growth had been linear, and we planned to reach 1,000 members at the end of 2001. However, since late spring we've been seeing geometric growth.

We look forward to the next 1,000 and have many new features under development for all members.

    Cheers!

I'm glad we now have 1000+ members, but I rarly see any user posted threads in the BioNews ... maybe I don't look hard enough; or every one is too busy doing bioinformatics. Again, I'm glad to see membership growing.

Submitter Good question! My guess is that it's not obvious how to post a comment. Or maybe this crowd isn't big on forums. We also have about 300 subscribers to the bulletin board, and most of the time it is quiet. We're working on redesigning the website, and one of the projects is to place a link for submitting comments, actually just move the link from the title, where it is now.
