    YABI follow-up
Submitted by Yves Sucaet; posted on Wednesday, March 21, 2007
Back in November 2006, we posted a call-for-help regarding a new bioinformatics search engine we wish to establish. Thank you for all who responded. With 200 curated URLs, we now feel we have a critical mass to release this project to the public. The search engine is available through http://lab.bcb.iastate.edu/yabi and provides some features that not all "link" pages have, e.g. many links show quick previews of the respective website as you hover over them (sorry, IE-users only currently). we scan our database weekly for obsolete references to minimize the chance for dead links. A news section for major topics was added as well, linking into Google News RSS feeds. Of course, you can still add your own software/webpages as well.
