RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director will be responsible for the preparation and launch of Apixaban for U.S. Medical for all indications and subsequent lifecycle management. This role requires interfacing with, and the provision of strategic leadership across the matrix team including, Marketing, Medical Information, Outcomes Research, Clinical Operations, Communications, Field Medical and other regional medical organizations.
The Director will further be expected to work closely with the Development and Global Medical teams to assist in successful registration as well as launch plans including competition intelligence, medical content for training programs, speaker training, advisory boards, investigator meetings, publication planning and building and maintaining relationships with TLs and professional organizations. The Director will develop and execute the Apixaban medical launch plans ensuring that the strategies, objectives and tactics are aligned across the medical matrix and consistent with recognized unmet medical need. The Director will help set clear and challenging targets that allow the team members to accomplish objectives consistent with departmental goals and BMS behaviors.
Further, he or she will serve as the conduit to bring cohesive commitment to business and departmental goals, ensure strong functional expertise and productivity through the team, and promote morale, energy and enthusiasm. This position will report to the Cardiovascular Lead, U.S. Medical Strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
- MD, PhD or PharmD
- The ideal candidate would have clinical experience in the field of cardiovascular care and board certification in cardiology.
- The successful candidate should have a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience from Medical Affairs or Clinical Development in the Cardiovascular therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical industry.
PREFERENCES
- Expertise in clinical trial design and execution desirable.
