Opportunity: Postdoc in BIOINFORMATICS / analysis close to wet-lab @ Boku University--Vienna, Austria & Brno, Czech Republic

BACKGROUND
Our group focuses on the challenge of extracting structured insight from genome-scale experiments. Besides working with colleagues in the group, there will be a regular exchange with a partner group at the Central European Institute of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic (http://www.ceitec.eu).
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the development and application of modern approaches to data analysis challenges arising from high-throughput experiments. There will be a regular exchange with our partners in Brno.
REQUIREMENTS
We need an outstanding scientist excited about analysis close to the experimental lab and international collaboration.
You must have a PhD in a technical or scientific field and have demonstrated experience in bioinformatics research through systems and data integration involving at least one of these areas:
- Applied bioinformatics (sequence analysis, data mining, ...)
- Classical statistics, probabilistic modelling, or machine learning
Evidence of close collaboration with experimental labs is a clear advantage.
TERMS
The position is available immediately and has an initial tenure of five years.
LOCALE
Vienna, Austria, and Brno, Czech Republic
