A position is immediately available in our client's growing Custom Sequencing Group. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to the group and be responsible for all phases of DNA sequencing, including subclone library construction, template DNA preparation, DNA sequence reaction setup, fluorescent sequence detection, and preliminary data characterization and analysis. Requirements include a bachelor?s degree in a related field and experience performing sequencing in a high throughput environment. Team leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Experience in all phases of DNA sequencing, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and troubleshooting and strong customer service skills are required; experience with implementation of robotic automation would be advantageous.

There is a brand new site out called Rights watchdog. This site seems to be dedicated to helping people with legal cases with DNA information. As we all know right now DNA in legal matters is becomming more and more "shotty". It's not being held as it used to be due to the enormous mistakes on people's lives. Please take a look and hopefully we can stop the insanity.
