URL: DBD: Database of Biological Databases (with 1200 databases listed)
Submitted by R. R. Siva Kiran; posted on Friday, July 20, 2007 (1 comment)
Andhra University, Center for Biotechnology, Department of Chemical Engineering, Visakhapatnam, India, has developed a database for bioinformatic researchers. "DBD: Database of Biological/Bioinformatics Databases" consists of 1200 databases covering various databases related to molecular modelling, HIV, human genome, mitocondrial databases, etc. Researchers can search DBD in terms of keywords. For example, if you need information regarding "Chromosome", just go to alphabet "C" and search for keyword "Chromosome", and see databases related to chromosome.
Please send us more databases for updating the website. You can see your name in this website by sending us greater than 10 databases.

This is really a great project! I have listed DBD in MetaBase (the (similar) database of biological databases!) here - http://BioDatabase.Org
Is your 'classification of databases' manually created by you, or taken from another source?
Thanks for creating this database project!
Dan.
