The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of research findings and methods. An important goal for the conference is to foster long term collaborative relationships and networking opportunities within the domain of computational approaches to biology. The program will include oral presentations, poster presentations, invited keynote speakers and tutorials.

The BIOSTEC 2012 multi-conference is taking place in Portugal in February. This is a multidisciplinary set of joint conferences, organized by an engineering group that is interested in Biomedical themes. BIOINFORMATICS 2012 is part of it.
There is a special session on Bioinformatics Training.
