Welcome to the Open LIMS project
Submitted by Byron Ellis; posted on Saturday, December 23, 2000 (2 comments)

Hello, I'd like to introduce the Open LIMS project--- a project aimed at bettering the links between wet lab aspects of biology and the computational/bioinformatics aspects of biology. With more and more high throughput experimentation going on, organizing the data generated by experiments becomes more and more important (this is even true for purely computational labs who may receive datasets from outside collaborators).

With this project our goal is construct an open source LIMS built entirely upon readily available software and protocols with as little platform dependency as possible, and a sound security model.

Is this project active? I don't see any information. Cheers, Hugues Sicotte
