Software: PASTA: splice-junction detection in RNA-Seq data
Submitted by Alberto Riva; posted on Thursday, September 29, 2011

We are pleased to announce the first public release of PASTA, a new analysis tool for RNA-Seq data. PASTA implements an innovative, highly sensitive method, based on Patterned Alignments, to detect splice junctions from RNA-Seq data.

PASTA is intended to be the first module of a complete pipeline for the study of alternative splicing using RNA-Seq. We invite you to download and test this program and to send us feedback, comments, bug reports.

    AVAILABILITY

PASTA was developed by the Riva Bioinformatics lab at the University of Florida, and can be downloaded from http://genome.ufl.edu/rivalab/pasta/. Common Lisp source code is available upon request. For more information please contact Alberto Riva (ariva[at]ufl.edu) or Shaojun Tang (sjtang[at]ufl.edu).
